For the production Klaus Martens only uses the best materials, such as bells from one piece, flanged slides and finest highgrade steel valves. One proof is the qualitiy certificate for the flugelhorn model 152 G: In a competition of 18 German producers the Martens flugelhorn clearly won the first prize (tested by computer measuring an tested individually by 5 renowned European musicians) and convinced - besides excellent handling and form - especially in speech, intonation, timbre and harmoniousness.
