Cannonball

BrassImport is dealer for Cannonball trumpets. These instruments are designed by the famous saxophone company Cannonball and built in Germany by the B&S company. They are however completely different from the B&S own trumpetline, the Challengers. The Cannonball trumpets offer a great value for money.

The trumpetline offers 2 different models:

The standard 725, and the big bell series 789 which has a reversed leadpipe and a huge 1-piece bell.
Prices start from € 2.099,- for the raw brass 725 "Mad Meg" up to € 2.650,- for the lacquered 789RL. 

Remarkable to the Cannonball instruments are the semi-precious stones they use for the valvebuttons and a patented 'resonance stone'. By putting a stone on the bottom leg of the leadpipe, you get an effect similar to a heavier 3rd bottomcap. Some people wonder if this really works. Let me say that you won't notice it when the resonance stone is in it's place. When you remove it however, you notice that the stone helps to achieve greater focus, easy slotting, and superior intonation.
