Romeo Adaci

Romeo Adaci is a trumpet maker from Karlsruhe, Germany. Besides his trumpet study at the conservatory, he also studied at the famous German school for Intrumentmakers in Karlsruhe.
When he, due to dental problems, was forced to end his career as a trumpetplayer (he was principal trumpet in several German Symphony orchestras) Romeo became a fulltime instrument maker. In 1989 he reached his 'Master Degree' in building trumpets and trombones. Because he's he trumpetplayer himself, he designs his instruments from the point of view of the player, and believe me, you can tell when you play on one of them. Other makers recognized his talents. He is the designer of the futuristic looking and very succesfull Jupiter 812RGL.
Romeo Adaci also build the Feniks trumpets, however these are very different from his own line of trumpets.

ResonanzThis high end trumpet is the product of results found after years of experience and acoustic research. By stabilizing all trumpet parts from the mouthpiece of the bell, a muffling is achieved that allows the sound to merely project forward (this way sometimes a sound level of 120-125 dB is not uncommon). Bothersome vibration responses common to trumpets, which often lead to intonation problems, are completely eliminated. The outer brass-shells of the trumpet act as monitors that provide the trumpet player with instant and necessary feedback through the resulting hollow space. The attack and the sound are balanced completely throughout all ranges and dynamic regions; this results in a control given to the player that has never existed before.
