Parduba
BrassImport is the exclusive dealer for Parduba Mouthpieces in the Netherlands. We have all trumpet and flugelhorn models in stock. Parduba, the legendary double cup mouthpieces, made famous by Harry James who discovered them in 1938 and played on it for his entire further career.
Parduba Design The unusual (and patented) Parduba double cup design makes the upper register easier to play. You notice that the moment you play on it for the first time. When you get used to it after a couple of days, you feel that you are more in control, and you will hear a rich sound. Be careful, when you are looking for a modern trumpet sound, look elsewhere. Parduba mouthpieces sound very oldfashioned. Nice and rich, but different from todays sound.
Sizes run from 2 through 8, the smaller the number, the smaller the size. A number 8 is comparable to a Bach 1 1/4 and a number 4 is comparable to a Bach 12C. The diameters for trumpet are the same as for flugelhorn (available sizes between 5 and 8)
A Parduba mouthpiece gives you 2 mouthpieces at once. A very shallow mouthpiece for high regster work and a very deep mouthpiece for the rich and dark sound.
Parduba mouthpieces cost € 59,-
